International Dog Sports National Championship 2025 Southeast Regional Location

IDS Nationals will be held at several locations simultaneously and streamed live for anyone to watch. We are once again the Southeast Regional location for the Nationals.

Hi everyone!

We are excited to host our second IDS National Event and look forward to see everyone who is participating.

Our start times are as follows:

Friday

Velocity begins at 3pm

Eclipse begins at 4pm

We will know the placements once the scores are all in on Friday night.

Saturday (2 rounds of Horizon)

Horizon 1: begins at 9am

Horizon 2: begins at 11am

These rounds will determine who comes back for the brackets on Sunday to compete for winning their division.

The order will be alphabetical A-Z for both Horizon Rounds and Velocity.

Eclipse running order will be according to each dog’s Personal best/Average scores and run in a round robin format. We are used to jumping/catching and moving up one foot and staying on the dock until our dog is done. For nationals each dog will jump according to their usual distance and then come off the dock for the next dog in that distance to jump, then the next dog until we have to move to the next distance. Then the dog who starts at that distance will jump and then all the dogs who have jumped the last distance will jump and then the rig will move to the next foot distance. Don’t worry if it is confusing. We will explain it in more detail at the event and the Liaison will let you know who is next to go up on the dock. It’s actually a fun way to run Eclipse and as a benefit the dog has the opportunity for a rest between jumps.

We will have IDS ribbons on hand for you to take pictures with. If you want to take a picture with a ribbon remember to return the ribbon after your photo is taken. This is very important since we have to return these ribbons back to IDS after the event. They will mail ribbons out to the winners after the event along with other goodies they may have won.

We will have awards for placements 1-3 in each division of our facility tournament as the Southeast Regionals.

Please be at the facility no less than half an hour before the start of each event. If you aren’t present when your name is called you could forfeit your turn.

There will be some sitting around so if you have any yard games and you want to bring them to the event that would be great!
